(Little Rock, AR) –– Rep. Mark Perry of Jacksonville, filed for re-election at the Arkansas Capitol on Tuesday. Rep Perry is serving his sixth term in the Arkansas House, having previously served in the 2009, 2011, and 2013 terms. He represents District 66 which includes portions of Jacksonville and other areas of Pulaski County.
Rep. Perry is currently the House Vice Chairman for the Joint Committee on Public Retirement and Social Security Programs. He also serves on the House Public Health, Welfare, and Labor Committee, the House Insurance and Commerce Committee and the Joint Budget Committee.
He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He has a long history of serving in many local civic and professional organizations including as the past president of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, past president for Jacksonville Rotary Club, past president at Jacksonville Boys & Girls Club and is a member of the Jacksonville Sertoma Club.
Mark and his wife, Valerie, attend First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
